"When we arrived at Hilton Memphis, we were told they were overbooked and did not have a room available for us, even after accepting our payment. Nor were we notified before arrival this was an issue. We were sent across the street to a Marriott property, who did not provide the amenities we paid for at the Hilton. No refunds offered, no transportation provided to new location, no breakfast included at the marriott that we paid for at the Hilton. Very disappointing."

"I have stayed at Courtyard by Marriott many times and have generally had very positive experiences, which is why this particular stay was disappointing. I’m sharing this feedback not simply to complain, but because I value the Marriott brand and hope these issues can be addressed. The coffee machine in our room was not properly cleaned and appeared to have mold or other growth inside, which was very concerning from a cleanliness and hygiene standpoint. We were also leaving early in the morning...

"We had a very good stay at this property. It is clean and comfortable. It could use some aesthetic/decorative updates, but that did not take away from our stay. My ONLY complaint is the poor working condition of the fire doors in the stairwells. NONE of them close properly which is a big safety hazard."
