"Fantastic motel, easy parking, quick check in and short walk to great fish and chip shop. Even though they were super busy the rooms are super quiet and spacious with no outside noise heard. Well set out with air fryer, fry pan and microwave so you reheat and eat in your room. "

"The room was clean, but oh so tired. The sheer curtain was ripped, but we had the blackout curtains closed most of the time anyway. The bathroom door could do with some attention, and maybe an exhaust fan? However, considering the price, it served it's purpose, didn't affect our stay, and wouldn't stop us staying there again. "

"I booked this for a friend from overseas who was travelling to Northern Queensland to meet up with her son. She said the condition of the room was totally unacceptable. Apparently the proprietor offered her an alternative room which was equally grubby, so she did not stay and found another Hotel."

"This hotel is not quite what is was and has gone from exceptional to ‘has room for improvement’. Examples. A swim up bar should not be cans and slushies only. The bar should be manned by trained and friendly staff. Breakfast doesn’t need to be the overpriced buffet it currently is. Ala carte will be better for everyone. I could keep going - I will be back - Townsville doesn’t have a great deal of competition."

"Friendly staff, a nice pool area, and on-site parking available. Unfortunately, my bed sheets had stains, the shower in my room had no hot water and was only lukewarm, and the hotel is very noisy with thin walls."

"Rambutan is our first choice for our frequent visits to Townsville. The rooms are well appointed and always very clean. The location is very convenient with a range of decent restaurants in walking distance. The restaurants on site are very handy for when we just want to relax by the pool too. The standout for this hotel is the staff, especially Ryan on reception. He always makes us feel so welcome, and he is always willing to go above and beyond to ensure we have a comfortable stay. "
