"Not the fanciest hotel BUT great location and the room was large, clean, comfortable and priced right! Couldn’t ask for more. Parking easy. Dinner was great. Breakfast was wonderful - what a way to start the day exploring Shetland. Ate one night at Frankie’s fish seafood - it was great. Make sure to make reservation if you want to eat at restaurant otherwise it will be take a way. Staff at hotel were great. I would stay here again."
"The hotel is a little bit further a out of than we thought. It overlooked the ferry port. We enjoyed watching the ferries (we are old). The hotel food was excellent and reasonably priced, compared to the town. At weekend you needto book in the town. The breakfast was good. The staff were lovely. We stayed a week,so they got to know us. We'll be back.
On a another note, we are thinking of moving to Shetland."
"Good location. Room was small with old furniture but clean. Dining room/restaurant was dusty: tables and floors were clean but evidence that corners, blinds, and deep cleaning does not happen often. Food options were quite good. Breakfast was good and well-served."
"My first room was a bit of a disappointment, but when I was moved to a ground floor room for my last two nights, it was a real “wow!” moment when I saw the view.
The restaurant was closed, so no breakfast was on offer. It would have been useful to know this up front.
The staff were very kind and helpful."
"The chalets are set in the most beautiful location overlooking Scalloway. Easy access by car to the whole island. The chalet was very clean with everything we needed and perfect for 2 people. We loved our visit and would definitely return to Scalloway and the Chalets again. Will be recommending to friends and family, thank you Sarah."

What’s a holiday rental in Shetland like?
Holiday rentals are private properties where you can stay for a few weeks, or just a few days, in Shetland. Holiday rentals feature extras such as patios, hot tubs and fire pits to help you enjoy your stay. If you're concerned about a sanitised environment, a holiday rental can offer a sense of privacy away from shared hotel lifts and busy reception areas while still allowing you to travel. You'll also get more space in a holiday rental than in a standard hotel, which makes a holiday rental an attractive option for small groups.
