"My stay at Santiago Guest House Kyoto was even better than I expected. The location is perfect, and the dorm setup gives you enough privacy while still feeling cozy and social. The guest house has everything you might need — washing machines, a comfortable common area, and a lovely café. But what really made the experience special were the owners — incredibly friendly, welcoming, and kind. We even had an amazing karaoke night together and met wonderful people. "The accommodations were spartan but clean we had the "Family Room", the owner very nice and helpful. The bathroom and shower were fine. The double bed was 2 single beds pushed together.It is 15 minute walk to the station and to Byodo-in (main attraction in Uji) There are no food options close by but kitchen access was available. The only real problem is that for anyone who has mobility issues, access to the room was 2 flights of very steep narrow stairs."
