"Excellent stay"

"Welcome was lovely, room was really pretty with nice touches, pretty noisy though, you'll be lucky to get a solid nights sleep. Breakfast wasnt great either sadly. Overall though it was a lovely, pretty, welcoming hotel for a single night stay."

"Fantastic staff, rooms are decorated and furnished to a very high standard, really clean and with lovely touches. Regrettably, the sound proofing is very poor and most movements between and outside rooms and car park, can be heard leading to an interrupted night’s sleep. If we hadn’t stayed before, based on this visit, we wouldn’t stay again but as we had such a good stay the first time, we’d stay again, just not in this particular room."

"We stayed in Room 116. Opened the door to a horrible smell, air con and fan both on. Managed to lose the smell by turning off the bathroom fan. The mobile fan had a very thick coating of dust which must have built up over years, not just this year. We did get the fan replaced but the dust from the filthy one was everywhere in the room. The bathroom door and light switches all needed a very good scrub. The refreshment tray had a kettle but we had to remove the coffee maker to make way to plug...

"Everything was really good , the only issue was the weather was very hot, there’s no air conditioning. It’s not something you consider when staying in England normally. But there were two fans in the room. It’s a beautiful old building with lots of charm."
