"Very nice but little far from the beaches"

"We spent a week at Miros, and it truly is a little gem—quiet, peaceful, and beautifully tucked away. Despite its serene setting, it is centrally located within walking distance of the Basilica of Bom Jesus. "The pictures on the website do not tell the full story. The road ends 20 meters before the property, so prepare to wheel bags and walk across wet red clay. When we arrived the room reeked of cigarettes. They said they were fully booked and could not move us, but I could book a room still online, so they lied about that. "We really enjoyed ourselves. I will be bringing my family there as they would love it. But for our party of 5 girls it was easy to get there. Staff at the beginning of the check in was good as they mentioned timing of breakfast. And as we were tired from our journey and was late for breakfast, they still accommodated us. "The room, actually the 3 rooms I was offered were full of mould, including pillows which were grey because of the mould. And that’s a 40€ a night “business” hotel. After 30 min discussion with the manager, at 11pm I finally managed to cancel the reservation and was promised a full refund, even got a paper as a proof. Of course didn’t happen. They count the reservation to take the money. Had to contact an agent for a refund. Avoid the property."

"We had one of the best experience in Merlot Suites! The rooms were so clean, nice with an amazing views. The pool was also so clean ! The hotel location is close to everywhere and quite the same time. The breakfast was tasty with variety in each day ! The staff were so kind and helpful more than any other place that we have been.. "All of the staff were helpful and welcoming. The cleaning staff on the 4th was very as efficient and kept the room tidy. The wait staff in the restaurant were helpful and even ensured that my order was cooked with no spices due to digestive problems. The hotel was in a safe location and the river view from my room was excellent.
