"I assumed I would be staying in a hotel reflective of the pictures shared, however our actual accommodation was in some of the side rooms, in a building that was definitely worse-for-wear. Most of the services that we had expected to be part of the amenities came with an extra charge - from using the gym and pool, to changing rooms because our fan was broken in the middle of a heatwave (they ended up giving us another fan for free). "Such a lovely location, hotel & grounds are beautiful. We stayed 2 nights, had incredible spa treatments, chilled by the pool & enjoyed dinner both evenings in Stuart restaurant. All staff were welcoming & friendly Breakfast is self service & has all the usual on offer. Quite reasonable at £16 each. Our room only rate of £200 per night was good value but be aware our final bill was over £1000. We did enjoy the cocktails & wine list though 😀"

"Beautiful entrance, bar and terrace. All extensions sympathetically mirroring the original house with modern facilities. Very clean rooms and bathrooms. Comfy beds! The air conditioning was noisy but you could turn it off. Staff all very helpful. Overall a very good choice for a two night stay nearby local attractions."

"The room we stayed in was far too hot. Even though we had the window open, the temperature control set to 16°C and the fan on, it was very uncomfortable. We found it difficult to sleep. We also spent as short a time as possible in our room. We were disappointed with the food available. The website advertised a Market Menu, which wasn't available. Just the expensive menu in the restaurant to choose from. However the breakfast staff we very courteous and the choice of food was excellent."
