"Beach in the area by motel was messy. Could not walk on beach the smell was terrible from a dead seal. Not sure if the city doesn’t clean up once in a while, but we were disappointed with the general area."

"Fantastic location - just across small street from boardwalk along the beach - fantastic location to access the beach and see the sunset. Clean, comfortable, and spacious rooms. Breakfast was good, and there were other amenities like a hot tub and fire pit available. Nearby restaurant with good food. Very pleasant ambiance and quick drive to Hearst Castle. The Castle Inn was a great place to visit!"
