"This was our second time staying at Caribbean Shores. It's clean, comfortable, and the setting is very relaxing. The hot water wasn't working properly in our shower, but it was at least warmer than the solar showers where we stayed prior. Everything is relative. :). "Our group of two couples spent a week in a villa on the beach side of the Umaya Resort and absolutely loved it. The unit was nicely appointed and truthfully feet away from the Caribbean Sea. Anytime we had a concern they were very prompt to respond. They transferred us to and from the Placencia Airport free of charge. We stopped at many hotel resorts on the way, checked them out and none compared to this one. "Delightful staff. Checkin was immediate and efficient. They held our bags until our room was ready and put the bags in the room for us. The rooms we had were clean, large and spacious. Kitchen included the basics along with an endless (just call) supply of ground coffee. Very nice pool and hot tub on the beach. Complimentary kayaks and morning yoga three times a week. Very nice Embers restaurant right next door where our included breakfast was served by a delightful staff "
