"When I walked into the room, there was a foul smell, and the tub had old stains as if it had not been properly cleaned. I also saw roaches, which was completely unacceptable. I left the room immediately and checked out due to these poor conditions. This hotel should not be rated as a 3-star property."

"We stayed 1 night for a dance competition in the area. The room was spacious and perfect for our needs. There was an overkill of fragrance & a slight stale smoke smell in the bathroom. My guess is that the guest prior to our stay was smoking in the room & the facility did it's best to clean & get rid of the smell. I did report to the front desk. They were VERY kind & offered to move us to another room. We were in a time crunch so decided to stay put. The breakfast was hot with lots of variety....

"Air conditioning unit was terribly loud, every time it turned on it sounded like a jet engine , this happened several times during the night Needless to say I didn't sleep much☹️"

"This hotel was run down. Ceiling missing in hallways, spackling in bathroom, stains on carpet. This is a "no tell motel" that looks like it's in middle of renovation but it's not, it's just in disrepair. "

"This place is terrible. It’s the worst I’ve ever been to. I got bitten by bed bugs that were laying in worth of five minutes. The place was really dirty and made me itchy. The bed sheets were stained and ripped. Hornets nest in the stairway. You don’t even get your money’s worth. Don’t come here ever!"

"The hotel was clean and the staff were helpful and friendly. However, We expected a Marriott property to be better maintained. The kitchen cabinet was precariously hanging on the wall, almost falling off! This looked quite dangerous and we were scared to reach in for any dishes. The sofa cushions were old and sank down, making it difficult to sit. The bed was so old and the mattress sank down so much that we were both very stiff when we got up! "Overall, a nice day. Some minor maintenance issues in the room(remote in room didn’t work, toilet chain broke in the middle of the night) Front desk staff and bar staff wonderful. Room was clean."

"The photos and price fooled me. It's basically an overpriced roadside motel next to a bar and not a very nice or quiet area. Very loud traffic from rt 9. When i turned over the comfortor on the bed the underside looked so worn and dirty that i left. It would be passable if they charged $75 a night. It's not what you would expect for $115."

"My stay at the American was memorable. I was there for the monthly play reading and could not believe how pumping the restaurant was for a Monday night. Talk about vibe. Food was delicious, and the interior design was fun and energetic. Pat at the front desk was so helpful to me at check-in. I felt that, as a solo traveler, she gave me extra care. The bed was very comfortable and the room was very clean."

"The floor in the room was dirty and one of the bedside lights had been ripped off the wall and not replaced. Most of the people staying seemed to be long term. The grounds were dirty and the buildings in poor shape Not worth calling it a motel stay away and remove it from Expedia so so other poor soul doesn’t go there"

"Room showed signs of significant wear. Dead bugs or other items on walls. Sheets had numerous red stains, maybe blood, pillowcase had a burn hole probably from a cigarette. I stayed 4 days because of work. They didn't service the room one time. The towels were not only hard, they were so black stained, you think someone was using them for automotive work. Definitely disappointed. I stayed here before several years ago and it was not this bad."
