Hence there is no need to stay in the sub-par Fuggerhof where you are put into a basement room while the unfriendly front desk staff tries to up-sell you into an above ground room - as if that were a special feature. Just to be clear - there was no mention of below ground rooms during booking and the basement room wasn't a walkout basement but did have a small window at the top of the wall, eye-level with the grass roots of the ill...

"The property is a bit dated but the kindness of the staff and the INCREDIBLE views won me over. Even though the hotel is a bit older, I slept wonderfully and the food in the restaurant was fantastic! (We had pork with spatzle, chicken soup, Dubai Chocolate drink and an Aperol Spritz). "A lovely welcoming hotel. Staff were amazing and helpful. Easy parking with big parking space in front of hotel. Ski bus operated by the hotel twice in the morning but the public ski bus is right in front of the hotel as well. Driving to the nearest ski area (Warth) was easy 12-15 minutes and at the Jägeralp skilift there was plenty of parking. The road between Warth and Lech is closed (not sure if it is a permanent thing for winters, but that means that Lech/Oberlech can only be reached by...
"Don't plan on skiing early, as the front desk manager refuses to check you out before 8 am. Also, parking is limited and the property is totally overpriced for its condition.
The front desk manager on March 2, 2025 literally yelled at guests who wanted to check out at 7:35 am, despite assurances from the previous day's shift. Never seen any Hotel staff in the world being that unprofessional and angry!!"
