"This is a a beautiful old chateau which operates as a hotel. The staff is lovely and very accommodating to travelers. I do t speak any French and the staff speaks little English but we managed just fine. I stayed in the carriage house. The room was very basic but had a remodeled bathroom.
Probably the biggest issue was the heat and a lack of air conditioning. I had temps ranging from 98-102 the entire time I was there so that was hard. Just know this when you plan.
The restaurant is wonderful and reasonable for Europe. It was the best food I had in three weeks traveling in Europe. One of the best meals I’ve had in a very long time.
Breakfasts are wonderful and again, very reasonable. Fresh fruit, ham, meat and cheeses along with fresh breads and pastries.
You should definitely rent a car if staying her. Ubers are a fortune to and from this location. Double of what you would expect. It’s not walkable to town or any conveniences.
That said, it was a quiet and very quaint stay and again, the staff was fantastic."
"Great little independently run Franchise hotel just off the A20 Autoroute “L’Aquitaine”. Just breaks nicely from the South of France to the Channel Ports. Nice restaurant attached which caters easily for outside dining (especially if you have a dog). Comfortable bedroom with good A/C and an excellent breakfast. For two of us, with dog, one night dinner, bed and breakfast with drinks.. €194."
"As it happened it was the hottest day ever in France when we stayed and the air conditioning was excellent. Excellent mattresses. Very close to the motorway but we didn't hear any noise from it in the room. No restaurant in the hotel but a very short walk to an Italian restaurant which was fine. All in all I can see us staying at this hotel again."
