However the room we were in (an upgraded room) was over the kitchen and every morning at 7am something started up and all we could hear was the hum of it which is annoying when you would like a lie in. "The Leonardo Royal Southampton Grand Harbour is in an excellent location, especially if you’re departing from the cruise port. It’s also very close to the Westquay shopping centre, which makes it convenient for dining and last‑minute essentials. The room itself was spacious and the bed was comfortable, but the strong smell of bleach when entering was unpleasant.
