"The yurt was very comfortable and warm. The wood burner provides an ample heat and there was a good supply of wood. The bed was comfortable. Parking is simple and close by. The yurt is very much off grid. The cooker works well with bottled gas. There is no running water. To take a shower involves boiling a giant kettle and carrying the water to the wooden outbuilding and mixing with cold rain water then using a solar powered shower pump. Was impressed that you can shower with surprisingly little...

"The staff and service were excellent. My main problem was I kept hitting my head on the slopping ceiling when using the bathroom. Food was good but the Chicken Curry on the first night contained very little Chicken. However the Lamb and Pork dishes were excellent. I also enjoyed the Proper Job IPA reduced alcohol on draught. Overall a relaxing holiday for my wife and I. We will be back."
"The room was clean and tidy. The food in the pub was very good. I would not stay again due to room No5 being VERY noisy due to 3 fans under and next to room 5 (kitchen, cellar and heating) making constant droning noises. I had to ask staff to turn the fans off during the night as it was so loud you could not sleep, even the floor in the room was vibrating. After reading some of the reviews I have noticed that other people had complained about room No 5 being noisy from the fans. It spoilt our whole stay as during the day you could hear the fans making the room uncomfortable to stay in. I expected noise from the customers outside as the pub is in a town centre location.
I think the landlord should explain paying guests that the room No 5 is very noisy due to the fans before they book. Though the noise is more than obvious, the landlord acted surprised when informed. If you expect a good nights sleep in Totnes don't stay at the King William IV. I hope this review is helpful. "
"What an amazing hidden gem ! Beautiful old property next to river with kingfishers. Staff fantastic so accommodating with our needs . Lovely rooms , comfortable beds, en suites lovely modern and clean. Fresh smell throughout whole place. Evening meal fabulous and breakfast too . Highly recommend. Many thanks to Paul, Gail, George, McKenzie & Katie who all made our stay so good . "
"Really enjoyed our two night stay. The room was really comfortable with thoughtful extra touches like complimentary bottled water, a big selection of hit drinks and bottled milk and oat milk in the fridge. Staff were fantastic, really helpful and friendly. Breakfast was extremely good. A relative who lives in the town said it was their favourite place to go for breakfast and I can see why. I highly recommend a stay here ."
"Staff lovely. Breakfast good -although took a long time. Great decor. Comfy bed. Nice bathroom. Good smart TV. Great location.
Not a good night's sleep either night.
Sea view over some industrial bins and a corrugated roof that gulls sit on making a load of noise. Industrial bin very loudly emptied at 7am one morning. Window faulty so you could hear all noise outside. "
