"Lovely small boutique hotel near the quayside with friendly staff and nicely decorated.
Very busy with a coffee shop and restaurant on lower ground. Being one of the oldest buildings in the town it has low ceilings, steep stair cases, beams and wonky floors!
The bedrooms are spotlessly clean and our bed and pillows were very comfortable. Free WiFi, bottled water, tv, tea & coffee, hair dryer, iron and ironing board and USB plug points besides the bed are included.
A couple of rooms are on the first floor and the others on the second/third floor. Breakfast is served between 8-11am and was excellent, as was the coffee!
Unfortunately we can’t review the dinner as we had other plans but it looked great.
Parking is an issue within the town and we were aware of this before arriving. After October, parking is slightly better and we managed to park for three days in a free car park, a five minute walk away. Being an old building, the windows are not double glazed, therefore especially the front bedrooms are draughty and you hear the traffic and people. The hotel is at the end of lower street/ Bayards cove with a pub next door so not much through traffic but you do hear the deliveries reversing first thing in the morning. We enjoyed our stay here and visiting the surrounding areas -via the ferries and steam train. Dartmouth was delightful! Well recommended!"
