The hotel and room itself was good. There was no issues with our room or the location however, we showed up and immediately was told we needed wristbands for safety concerns. No biggie, we figured it was common at large resorts. What is ridiculous, is these wristbands costed $25 and were only needed for anyone between 10 and 32 years old. What was even more annoying was if we wanted to use credit card to pay for these wristbands it would actually be closer to $30 or $35 - none of this was listed in the booking.
Then after we paid $125 for our 5 wrist bands (in cash) we were told we could only have 1 parking pass and the other car would have to be in public parking which is halfway down the island. We asked if we could pay for another pass and they said no. - once again. This was not mentioned in the listing.
Another annoyance of the stay was our towel situation. We had 5 adults in the room, and are staying at a place with a beach, and 3 pools. I figured the place would have some sort of beach/pool towels… nope. So when asked if we could have additional towels to take to the beach we were told our room did not qualify to get more towels because we had a washer/dryer in the room. WHAT. That makes no sense, I understand that there is a washer dryer and it would be convenient for the hotel but come on. We would need to take our sandy towels back to our room, run an hour cycle (at least) and then once the clean towels are done, then take a shower. That’s just ridiculous.
