Full Story: Look, I’m a reasonable traveler. I’ve stayed in budget motels before, and I know that sometimes nature finds a way indoors. When I walked into my room at the Super 8 in Ellenton after a long day at the beach, and a cockroach decided to take a stroll across the pillow, my family and I were definitely grossed out. Paid and checked in to our room. Then we saw the room was not anything close to the pictures. It clearly smelled mold. We tried to get a partial refund. They refused it. When we informed them that we will be sharing our experience and pictures on expedia, the management called the police and got us out of property and still charged us for the stay, effectively stealing our money.
If you like India slums without going to India, this is the perfect place!

"We had a premier king suite and found it just right. The staff was very helpful and kind. The pool is often in the shade unless you're in it in the morning however it was clean and the jacuzzi was hot. The room stays cool and the hotel had nice amenities like a hose to clean off beach gear. Very accommodating. "
