"I loved being on the water. Would have been really nice to have had an ocean view room. It was super close to downtown and the Main Street. "The Barn had a wonderful atmosphere! Beautiful lobby and common areas. The kitchen was fully stocked and quite large with a beautiful view through the large window. We would definitely stay here again if in the area!"

"We booked a room mistakenly one day late than we needed. When I found it out one day before our check in time, we were not able to make the change because it passed the free cancellation deadline. So we booked another room. Upon our arrival, the staff found our situation and agreed to give full refund for the mistakenly booked room without our asking. He was super nice and helpful. The room and bathroom are very clean. We appreciated it truly. "

"Excellent hostel! Really convenient location in Reykjavik. Super close from Hallgrimskirkja (church). The room was clean and spacious. Every person had plenty of outlet, which was great for us with multiple devices that need nightly charging. The room got a lot of evening sun (June), so we needed to keep the window open to stay cool throughout the night. "We stayed at 6 different places during our Iceland trip, and this was our favorite! The room was clean and spacious. Nice blackout curtains. The kitchen was small but functional. The "strange guy" chef offered delicious cakes for the guests, and there was also an option to dine in. We opted to bring our own food, but the dinner prepared at the guesthouse smelled so good! Breakfast was great too! Plenty of bathrooms. The best part about this place was the host! He was so friendly and upbeat!...

"Sehr gutes Hostel. Die Hütte war wie erwartet klein, aber mit eigener Toilette. Bettbezüge waren vorhanden, Handtücher nicht. Die gemeinschaftlich genutzte Küche war gut ausgestattet, der Speiseraum ein sehr schöner Wintergarten mit Blick über die Wiesen zum Meer. Die Unterkunft ist super für einen kurzen Aufenthalt in der Nähe des Diamond Beaches (Jökulsárlón). "
