"I honestly cannot rate my stay at Papageno Resort in Kadavu highly enough. As a backpacker on a budget, staying here was a very special treat for me, and it exceeded every expectation. "The room was clean, the bed comfortable and the outside shower in our bure was FABULOUS! Menus provided a good selection and staff were so kind; they always remembered our names. If you want an active day, best plan on organizing your own activities. If all you want is to have is a lazy swim or go snorkeling, read a good book and have a nap, the is the place for you. Super chill, super relaxed. We didn't have our own transportation but were able to get to various destinations via the local...

"Staff was AMAZING, especially Simeli, Mereoni from Activities and Maggy at reception. You can learn so much about Fijian culture with the Fire Walkers, trip to the village, Kava ceremony, etc. The beach was beautiful and the rooms fantastic. "Pros- The bures were really spacious and the beds comfy, gardens lush and well maintained. Breakfast had enough choice. Staff were very nice and helpful. Cons- The resort is definitely in need of maintenance everything is starting to look like it’s falling apart particularly around the pool restaurant area. We didn’t have a hot shower the whole time we were there. The food was just ok and not many options around."
