"Madama was my first hostel experience and it was great! Beds were comfortable and the location was great, about a 5 minute walk to the metro which can get you anywhere in Milan quickly. Area is safe and always people around, but quiet. Madama’s bistrot is very lively, so if you prefer a more quiet hostel this is not for you. "This hostel is in a quiet neighborhood, yet it is close enough to the Duomo Cathedral area to walk. The staff was super helpful when I had some unexpected technology issues! The dorm rooms were super clean and spacious. The "atmosphere" of the building was simply charming....from the marble steps and adorable old wooden-door elevator to the subtle music playing from a piano down the street. It truly captures the atmosphere of Milan."
