"I recently stayed at Sherwood Queenstown and had a mixed experience.
On the positive side, most of the front desk staff were very friendly and welcoming, which made check-in and general interactions pleasant. The room also had a nice view, and its location wasn’t far from reception, which was convenient.
However, there were several issues that affected our stay. Some of the room facilities felt outdated, especially the bathroom sink, where the hot and cold water system was not very user-friendly.
The biggest problem was the WiFi. Despite the room being close to reception, the connection was extremely poor throughout our stay. It would frequently disconnect, and even when connected, the speed was either unusable or very slow. This was quite frustrating. We reported the issue to the front desk multiple times, but unfortunately, nothing was resolved by the time we checked out. Interestingly, the WiFi worked perfectly fine in the lobby and restaurant areas.
On our last morning before check-out, we also had an unpleasant interaction with a staff member who initially refused to provide milk. Although he eventually agreed to give us one bottle, the experience left us with a negative impression to end our stay.
Overall, while the staff friendliness and views were highlights, the outdated facilities and especially the unreliable WiFi significantly impacted our experience."
