"The staff at Spearfish Canyon Lodge and Roughlock Falls Restaurant never tried to charge me a fee to use my Visa DEBIT card! The restaurant Cheyenne Crossing did try and charge me a fee to use my debit card, which is a federal offense. Different rules apply to charge card vs. debit cards. "We didn't like the floorplan of the room. The vanity area outside of the toilet/shower room was too small and the vanity was too low. The door to the shower/toilet room opened inward so that it blocked the shower door. It was just all too small. The hallways outside the rooms were narrow and scratched up. The ceiling in the breakfast area needed repair, the paint was peeling off. The breakfast was marginal at best. The elevator was too small and hard to get a luggage cart in. We wouldn't...

"Rooms were so clean, bed was incredibly comfy, and the property was peaceful. The “water park” was PERFECT for younger kiddos (max depth of 42”) and wasn’t overly packed. Would definitely stay here again!"

"TL;DR - STAY AT YOUR OWN RISK! Booked a "Queen, Jetted Tub" room for 5 nights (normal corner tub, not heart shaped one). When I arrived, I was put into a "Deluxe King Room". I was told that they didn't have any of the tub rooms available but there 'might' be one tomorrow. In the "Deluxe King" the smoke detector was ripped off the ceiling, the wall paper panels were pulled off the wall, but not quite enough to be fully removed. "Had two rooms. In both, the air conditioners sounded like they were going to rattle themselves out of the wall. Neither one actually worked. TVs did not work. One room had a huge hole above the lock and had to stick a washcloth in it for privacy. Breakfast was picked over and not restocked."

"I wasn’t expecting a casino when I walked in. Two hiltons in the same spot? Odd but ok. Tru is up one floor. Front staff cold and rude, had not been traveling with family. I would’ve walked out. Clean rooms no closet nor drawers, but I was only there for one night so it was OK. However, I will not return."

"The Franklin Hotel, was great , the place had been renovated but keep all the original charm of the original building. We stayed in a third floor suite over looking the town spare. The staff were very friendly and helpful with ideas to explore the area. We ate a the hotel’s restaurant call Legends steakhouse . The service was great and the food was excellent."

"The room was nice and luckily we were on the first as there is no elevator. The workout room was pathetic, with one treadmill, one elliptical, and a few dumbbells from 5 - 25 lbs. But was I was really disappointed by was the small continental breakfast."
