"Great hotel and most of the staff were great sadly they never catered for my special dietary requirements due to medical issues I am on a very specific diet - mainly protein no shag liquids and eggs… each time I kindly requested a plain omelette for dinner they declined saying the chef said no!!! I have stayed in many hotel around the world that have gone out of their way to accommodate my dietary requirements but this was the first hotel that declined "

"This is not a hotel. It is a group of rooms, each with an ensuite, that share a common lobby. They have provided everything you need. It's impeccably clean and has a ton of charm. A little tattered walls/paint but not a big deal. Wonderful staff! You have to take the stairs up and then take the lift. Once you leave the lift, you have to go down a flight of stairs again. "Beautiful classic decor with Smeg fridge and coffee machine etc but the coffee machine in the room cannot be used as no capsules provided. The tap in the room was noisy and the floor was dirty on the day we arrived. The hotel is along a narrow road and not easy to find parking nearby. Staff are nice bit not always at reception. Buffet breakfast is only continental - eggs are not available."

However, we were a little disappointed with the lack of amenities, the pool was closed, a/c unavailable, no drinking glasses, and the plastic cup in the bathroom had calcium residue around its rim. "many things, the room manual with places to eat and historical locations to visit. The shower was so nice and LARGE. Nice to be able to turn around and not bump into the control handle, or bend over to wash your toes. The bed was very comfortable. The Air Conditioner actually works. Plus we did not hear any of the other guests during the night, but we know new guests arrived and departed during our stay. Also great location, easy to walk to the City Center, or take a bus to any part of the city....
