"The Residence Stine - this one was difficult to judge. Yes it ticks all the boxes but it’s not a hotel per se - it’s a large house converted into a 9 room bed & breakfast. So lacks the full hotel services. HOWEVER, the hotel is located in a residential area 200m-300m up quite a steep incline on a narrow cobbled street. Elderly & infirm - BEWARE! Cars can’t come anywhere near the property so you are on your own dragging your suitcase(s) up & down so bear this in mind. However, having said...

"Lovely little boutique hotel in an excellent location just a short walk from the port and all the shops and restaurants and bars. Delightful room with comfy bed and wonderful Spa Rituals toiletries in the bathroom which had an excellent shower. A delicious breakfast was provided at a very nice brasserie right on the main promenade. Great views and good for people watching!"

"The lady who runs this place is great and speaks good English. You just have to remember that it's very hard to find. Go to the Ambassador Hotel then cross the street and ascend the stairs on the right and then take a left and you're there. Very clean and inviting accommodations near the Riva in Split. Probably take a cab the first time."

"The room is as published, within 5 mins walking distance to everything, was very clean. The only thing is worth noting is that the cleanning service did not happen, I stayed for three days and was there was no cleaning service provided. Everything else was perfect! "

We coordinated with the host to let them know our arrival time, and even though we arrived a little later than planned they were still there waiting at the reception desk to show us around our apartment. The host who greeted us was so friendly and helpful in providing suggestions about the local area and cuisine. It was so nice to have such a warm welcome after 16 exhausting hours of travel. "The apartment was clean and extremely well-equipped. The staff members were friendly, polite and exceptionally helpful. The breakfasts were excellent - varied, attractively-presented and featuring an impressive range of local produce. Shops were nearby, and within two hundred metres we could walk to Diocletian's Palace, the waterfront and two markets,as well as to the ferry port and bus station."
