"Christmas lights on the balcony flooded the first floor room with light all night long. No blackout curtains. Rooms on first floor near front desk were noisy. "

"Very disappointing. This hotel was rated very good an 8.4 but it was far from it. It is very dated and it was dirty and smelled musty. The lamp shades were stained and the lamps were rusty and old. There was mould and dirt all around the window and baseboards. I do NOT recommend this hotel."

Our hosts were very kind, and put generous effort into providing delicious breakfasts, giving suggestions about local attractions, and allowing us as much or as little cat time as we wanted. "The continental breakfast was good - a variety of fresh baked goods, yogurts, fresh fruits, granola, teas, and the coffee was excellent! It would have been nice to enjoy a hot breakfast on the cold and gloomy morning that we were there, though. We enjoyed meeting our friendly host, Joe, and had a nice conversation with him as he explained the history of the property and some future kitchen renovations he has in the works. "The room was very nice and quaint. We loved the location. It was so quick and easy to walk to downtown Keene. We had to rent a cot to make it accommodate 3 people. I guess we had missed the fine print in the Expedia listing that said it would work for 3 if a cot was added. The building felt secure and was well taken care of. We’d consider staying here again if we return to the area. "
