"Clean. Situated on a picturesque residential block. Beautiful antique furnishings and artwork. Lovely outdoor area behind parking lot on pond. But steep staircase to rooms, poor parking spaces, few on-site personnel, not much choice for included breakfast, and a long walk to beach and town."

"Decent and nice hotel with lots of potential. It is located conveniently to all the places we like to frequent on the boardwalk and Cookman Avenue. The complimentary coffee and water in the lobby was appreciated and the location of the gym and the hours was a plus for us as well. I would suggest to the hotel to provide complimentary beach passes at least for one day for the prices that are charged."

"The hotel was wonderful, small boutique hotel with no real amenities but the option of using the sister hotel amenities was perfect. The "breakfast included" is a bit misleading but I had read about it from other reviews so I was not surprised. Muffin or danish, coffee or tea is really what they offer. Otherwise totally enjoyed the hotel, it was quiet and comfortable!"

"We choose the Empress because it’s a few hundred feet from the Stone Pony and the beach. What a pleasant stay we had there!! It was clean, great pool area, wonderful staff, and free parking in their lot. My daughters loved the attached nightclub and we all loved the continental breakfast offered on weekends. Our room was on the 3rd floor, so we did hear music from the nightclub but it didn't keep us awake. You couldn't hear voices, or songs, only the beat of the music. A great stay and we will...
