"The only concern was there wasn’t a receptionist always available on weekends. As a traveller from out of country I count on receptionists to help me find my way around. When she was there she was excellent. No other concerns very clean and well looked after. "

"The kettle was filthy and we had to ask for a new one. Only enough tea, coffee, sugar and sweeteners for 1 day. We were there for 3 days checking out on the 4th day. The shower curtain did not keep any water of the floor. The floor was like a swimming pool after every shower. We stayed for 3 days with no clean towels. Lack of service is sad. "

"Great place to stay. Convenience of being able to park right at the door of your room. Mini kitchenette with sink and microwave in the room which is handy. Staff are helpful and friendly. Walk to the local club for a great meal and a drink. Quick drive to the shops."

"The location is superb, facilities adequate and good on site parking. There is however no on site reception and all check in procedures are provided via Email. When there is a problem you have to communicate with an off site person (not sure where) either via Email or phone. The shower in the room was a bath with shower over and not accessible as I have had 2 hip replacements. Just make sure you request a walk in shower room if you have any mobility issues. "The location is great if you need the airport. The passageway walls on the 2nd floor look pretty grim and in need of some TLC. The room itself was clean and comfortable though. Although reception hours are from 7am-9pm, it was all locked up when I arrived just before 7. The lock box was handy to retrieve my room key though."

"We booked the Alcyone for a friends party being held at Eagle farm racecourse and Alcyone location was within close proximity. Couldn’t fault anything, rooms clean and comfortable, easy checkin and communication. Would highly recommend and stay again if the opportunity arises."
