"The photos and listing are deceiving. The property is listed separately by room, listing as a VRBO with some rooms at 10 stars and some at 6 stars. Price was different for each separate listing. All of this should have been a red flag but I thought it was worth trying. We booked the same day as our stay so the options for the area were limited. "It was -12 on Portage Lake and we cranked the heat pump up to 75. The Birds Nest cabin needs another heat source. Upstairs was cold when we got back at 10:30 pm after leaving the heat on all day in the cabin.The two full size beds that are pictured is one that’s on the bottom of a metal bunk bed frame and the other is upstairs where the roof is pitched so one side has no head room to accommodate two grown adults.New owners shut the water off for the winter. "Weird layout of the building . Had to walk through multiple doors to get to our room. You have to pay for breakfast. Which we didn’t get to eat because the restaurant was closed due to staff shortage. And there’s not other food options in the area."
