It's not a beach as it's on a lake, but the surroundings will make you believe you are. The staff are amazing, kind, thoughtful and will do their best to ensure you have the best experience. Always check in with the receptionist about a problem; don't just grumble, they will always have a solution. The weekends are busy, and if you enjoy a lively vibe, the weekend is a good...

"The hotel is bordered by the lake on one side and virgin forest on the other. I took 3 marvelous meals a day and the evening meal had a roaring camp fire. Staff were superb. A boat trip organised by the manager was wonderful, many lake birds, families of monitor lizards and a flock of african grey parrots! Rooms clean, food good, drinks cold, assistance with travel, infact assistance with anything. What more do you want! "

"I stayed 2 nights in a Mirembe cottage- my friend had the cottage next door and we had a dedicated outside eating area, from where we were served our food.We were served by James who was consistently courteous and efficient .We felt like film stars on a tropical island as we ate delicious food sitting by the lake watching a wide variety of birds - it was just such a treat!"

"This is a really nice hotel, very clean and modern, my room was smaller than some but very nicely appointed and cozy with a big king bed, patio, and quiet A/C (the kind that are built in to the ceiling, not the loud kind that sit at the windows) that worked. Good quality TV. Staff very nice. Excellent breakfast, pleasant pub. I'd definitely stay there again. "
