"Overall, the stay was great. Location is perfect for walking around downtown Raleigh. The room was clean, and the beds were very comfortable. The front desk and housekeeping staff were above and beyond when it came to requesting extra towels and sundries (coffee, cups, etc.) and telling us about local information. "The Casso is in an excellent downtown Raleigh location and was walking distance to downtown restaurants, shops and things to do and see. The entire staff was professional and courteous and friendly. Jonathan, who checked us in and whom we saw in most of our comings and goings, was the BEST!. He always greeted us, was interested in how our day or evening had gone, and made our stay more enjoyable. We highly recommend The Casso for your stay in Raleigh."

"Called ahead of time to ask about pool. Get there and the pool was closed for renovations. Apparently when you call you dont get front deck but someone from corporate. The parking was an extra charge and across the street this was inconvenient and unexpected. The hotel was close to restaurants and very walkable. The breakfast in the morning had lots of choices and great coffee. Due to parking fees and no pool we wont return."

"When we checked in, we were given room 207. This room was on the ground floor near the lobby, and the floor to ceiling windows faced the second floor of the parking lot in the rear of the property. There were cars parked directly outside of our window. The air conditioner in the room was extremely noisy as it cycled on and off during the night making sleep all but impossible. "If you need a bargain ok. They have made an effort to present the lobby nicely. The check in clerk was pleasant. The checkout lady couldn’t be bothered. We went out and came back to a “ situation” in the lobby area that felt unsafe. Our room… the bed was comfortable and felt clean. The floor was buckled in the entry and bathroom ( my husband is handicapped ). The toe nail clippings in the bathroom made me want to barf. Breakfast was minimal but okay. Coffee was good."
