Red and chilled white wine available in the parlor. Evening treats set out for guests to have in the evening. Maerja and her staff were happy to help make reservations for the Cumberland Ferry. "There are no rooms that are accessible for handicapped people. The stairs have a handrail on only one side with no elevator and no ground floor rooms. When I asked about how I would be able to get my bags and myself upstairs to my room, the desk clerk commented rather snidely that I should look for a different hotel. Not the slightest sign of sympathy or offer of assistance. The hotel is over 100 years old and it shows its age… not in a good way."

"OMG. I did not expect this to be such a hole in the ground. Everything in the room was old, dirty, rusty and musty. It even smelled bad. At least the AC worked. I expected basic accommodations, but I did not expect it to be disgusting. I will never stay at another Red Roof Inn."

"Being an old schoolhouse definitely made it unique. The room was small but didn't feel like it. The view over the courtyard was peaceful and the live music in the evenings was nice way to end the day. If you want quiet before 9 pm then I would look elsewhere but we thought it made for a nice evening. The historic property was beautifully restored and clearly very well cared for by innkeeper Veronica and her team.
