My sister and I have been coming to this hotel for the past 5 years. It has always been safe, clean, with a homey feel to it. The same faces in the staff, always friendly and helpful. That’s why we loved it. When we returned this summer for our stay, the hotel had been renovated. It needed it after the hurricane last year, I’m sure. However, while the safeness was still there, the homey feel was not. The common areas were missing the couches, the tables and recliners. There were no paper towels, tissues or even paper and pen in the room. A coffee pot was provided, but no filters. No plastic cups.
The staff was still friendly and the place still clean, but not quite as upkept as it once was. More sandy than in years past.
We will still go back. The place is still comfortable and very affordable. I just hope they will add the things to the rooms that it needs for a normal stay.
