Extremely rude staff. No one is at check in desk. We never rcvd the check in code. Tried to call the number listed on the booking atleast 100 times but there was no answer. The housekeeping staff there does not know english and were unwilling to listen to anything. Another couple was also going through the same thing at the same time. There was no one. Check in process is horrible. Rooms are ok.

The hotel it’s ok to stop and sleep a night but it was super expensive for the quality of the hotel and the rooms.

Self check-in was a little bit hiccups at first. But after that everything was great. The shower area was a little bit too small but we managed that.

The property itself was fine. The fact that no one is around and you do checkin by phone is a bit weird but maybe that’s the new normal. They have an awesome dinning facility but it’s closed. The only place to eat is the large N1 gas station which was good but about 2 miles away. Just odd for such a nice place. Rooms were good and very clean. Just kind of odd the way things were. There were about 6 other cars that came. It’s really the only place to stay in this part so don’t hesitate to book it but be prepared. It’s quiet.

This was a beautiful and quiet stop across our journey around the Ring Road of Iceland. This stay was conveniently located along our route and thought there is not much else located around this stay, we did find the BEST restaurant in Iceland, Sjávarborg Restaurant. This was by far the most amazing food experience in Iceland.

The hotel is a basic but clean. The complimentary breakfast is a plus. However, there was some issue on obtaining the lock passcode from the hotel. I was told that the passcode will be emailed to me on the day of my check-in but I did not receive it by email. I had to use roaming of my phone to call the hotel at noon for the passcode.

Well organised place we had a pleasant stay
Beautiful place in a quiet location perfect to relax and enjoy the natural environment. The room was big, clean and well taken care of. Easy check in using lockers for the keys. Overall it was a pleasure staying there!

Poor value
I would find other accommodations, honestly. There was no Internet, no TV, no amenities in the bathroom, no hot water kettle, no refrigerator, the showerhead had little pressure. The bed was comfortable and the heat worked. Very poor value for the money.

Dårlig betjening og manglende morgenmad.
Da vi ankom til hotellet, kom en mand og fortalte på en blanding af tysk og engelsk at vi skulle bruge den mail vi havde fået med en kode. Vi havde ikke modtaget nogen mail, og vi havde to bookninger. Mand skrev noget på sin telefon og 20 minutter senere kunne han give os en kode så vi kunne låse os ind. Der ud over fortalte han os at der ikke var morgenmad i dag efter, men det havde vi købt med. Vi ringede til et telefonnummer, der stod i indgangen, men kun én ud af fem gange blev telefonen taget. Det var ikke til at forstå, hvad der blev sagt i den anden ende og da jeg sagde navnet på hotellet blev der lagt på. Heldigvis mødte vi ikke mere "personale". Værelset var ok.

Not a hotel! An unmanned hostel at best...
We have just spent 1 night here: The room # and key code did NOT arrive with the email we received half a week before our stay. Nor had the two other couples, who arrived a little later, received anything! We tried to call the number stated in both emails and at the reception desk: not working... Then we tried the WhatsApp and finally somebody (who never presented themselves) gave us the info we needed. When arriving in the room, we discovered that 1 of the three beds missed. Again, WhatsApp was used and we were informed that it would take 1.5 hours before we could have that bed.... Closest place to eat: The gas station 1-2 km away. Breakfast: Given this place is unmanned and you need to make the breakfast yourself, we sorely missed a toaster and an electric kettle, given that the restaurant water boiler takes 30 minutes to heat up! Oh, and there is not a pool table anymore I can NOT recommend this place. It is NOT a 3-star hotel, at my very positive best this is an unmanned hostel.

Room was very basic, but clean. Shower was too small. Water had a bad smell to it. Bed was ok, not too comfortable. We drove south of this guesthouse for about 15 mins and spotted northern lights

Das Check in war klasse. Vor dem Zimmer ist eine kleine Box. Dort den Code eingeben, Hebel hochdrücken und Schlüssel entnehmen. Zimmer und Frühstück reicht voll und ganz aus. Lage war für Ausflüge sehr gut. Gerne wieder!!!

War 2014 noch mit 3 sternen eingestuft, in Island hat sich in der Hotellandschaft einiges getan, entspricht einem älteren Motel/Hostel. Ist im Oktober wirklich ab vom Schuss, hat in der Nähe ist keine möglichkeit etwas zu kaufen oder zu essen. Etwa in 10 Minuten erreicht man eine Tankstelle mit Imbiss. Kann sein das im Sommer etwas mehr geöffnet ist.

Einfaches Self Check-in Hotel.
Auf unserer Reise durch Island haben wir eine Nacht in diesem Hotel verbracht. Der Schlüssel kann via Code vor der Zimmertüre aus dem Schliessfach genommen werden. Den Code erhielten wir eine Woche vor Ankunft. Sehr einfach, aber zweckmässig eingerichtete Zimmer, die Matratzen waren etwas durchgelegen, alles andere war vollkommen ok. Das Frühstückbuffet war ebenfalls für unsere Ansprüche gut. Insgesamt stimmt hier das Preis- Leistungsverhältnis.

Comfortable stay near to ring road
The guesthouse is located near to the ring road, but it is very quiet and peaceful. It has a self check-in service, which worked very well for us. The room (and the private bathroom) was bright, cozy, well-equipped and spotlessly clean. Breakfast was also included in the price, it was basic but good.There are also plenty of parking spaces available for cars. Overall I would recommend this place to stay in for a night.
