"Got in after hours, so there was bit of gymnastics associated with getting into our room. Fortunately, the restaurant manager let us in. If you're going to arrive late, make sure to call the hotel during normal working hours to make arrangements. Didn't expect it was going to take 2 hours to get out of the parking lot at Spa.
This was an amazing place. Great location, convenient to the town center. Rooms were spacious and clean. Staff was very pleasant and helpful, breakfast was good. Check out the restaurant in the basement (just don't play the piano :) ). Wish our schedule would have allowed us to have dinner there. Would highly recommend for anyone staying in Trier (which is a great place as well)."
"NOTE: THE HOTEL IS CLOSING IN AUTUMN 2026
The Mecure is brilliantly located opposite the Porta Nigra in Trier with an attached car park and has comfortable rooms, good (but slightly noisy) aircon and really friendly and helpful staff.
The breakfast buffet is excellent, but we were surprised by the limited dinner/room service options, as we were arriving late on our first night. We found out upon check-out that the hotel is closing (maybe to be bought out and refurbished) in the autumn, which is why they were not investing in new services. Worth staying in whilst it is open though."
"The Hotel has the basic necessity. We stayed in a suit but surprisingly they don't even provide toothbrush or other items. except a body soap.
And there any eatery around, according to google map, nearest is 1.3km away, So the only thing we get to eat is the Pizza ordered at the reception counter, which luckily it was hot and tasty.
Other than these, the room was comfortable and the bed was firm. So it was fine with a single night stay for me."
"Great place to stay! There weren't really any amenities to speak of, so that's why that's low. But it was clean and great. We LOVED Trier! We would go again!"
