"We stayed for our 34th anniversary 2 days ago and found Lisa and her mother lovely, accommodating, and pleasant. Lisa had come from Colorado and had only been the owner about 2 months but one would never know that. It was perfect! They even allowed our Colorado daughter ( who was attending her 25th u of va reunion) to have brunch with us the morning we left. Hot tub, jacuzzi, beautiful room, friendly and helpful owner…. What was there not to like? Ty, Lisa! We shall be back!"

"Breakfast was well attended. Front desk staff were pleasant. Room was large (superior king). Bathroom door needs to be fixed so it closes properly. Nice afternoon tea offered in the afternoon with cookies."

"Dog feces, indoors, in the front entryway. Hole in bathroom wall from door handle, spackle missing entirely or mold on the ceilings. It is absolutely not safe to stay here, door was messed with and jimmied during the night, but had the door barricaded, left before dawn and didn’t stay the second night. Ideal place to stay if you plan on cooking meth or have a deathwish."

"Very safe and escape into the Virginia countryside I love the amenities with tennis courts golf course, walking trails, and a phenomenal fitness center with coffee and smoothie bar. The mill room has good bartenders with sports on TV and a well rounded menu It has dog friendly rooms and is family friendly and also good for business and solo travel"

"The Oakhurst in was definitely not up to my standards BUT the staff tried everything to make things more comfortable. Unfortunately the Inn was working off of a generator and couldn’t keep up with the heat outside. My biggest issue however was the fruit flies. They were everywhere and it really bothered me. Jake - night person in the lobby was my hero after AC shut down for the 3rd time and I decided to leave in the middle of the night."

"The lady at the front desk could have been more informative. She didn't tell us (not does the website) that we were being charged $5 every day our vehicle was on the property [even the day you arrive and leave] they charge you a parking fee. It should be $15 we were charged $25!! The rooms could be cleaner. I always clean our room before we get comfortable. But this is a room that needed my attention. Everything else was good. The property was well maintained and clean. It was quiet. We did...

"Just ok. Upon arrival we discovered fingernail clippings on the bathroom sink, dust & hair inside the dresser, mold in the bathroom, couch was falling apart, had a strange odor. House keeping didn’t come at all during our stay, even after I requested a clean. The maintenance man knocked on the door and then automatically entered while we were inside the room- which is a safety concern especially when traveling solo with two kid, the dishes in the cabinet had food stuck on them, a pregnancy test...
