For the price definitely not worth it. Room was hot couldn't control the thermostat. No fridge or microwave. For $400 a night I would expect a lot better. The bathroom was sticking. Overall bad experience. Staff on casino floor extremely rude

Generally uninspiring condition. Very strange decor in room, and poor lay-out. Also "surprise" charge of $49 in addition to "Total" disclosed by Expedia.

Only 2 restaurants open. My husband came later to the hotel, I sent him a picture of the room key sleeve with the room #. His name was on the room with mine. When he arrived, he showed the agent a picture of the room key sleeve and the agent made him a key. Didn’t ask his name, didn’t ask for ID!! He came and told me in the room. I was mortified! Safety obviously isn’t a priority! Be ware

Golden Nugget Hotel is a scam. I booked a room online for $101 tax. When I get to the counter, the gal gives me a final price of $99.37. I give her a $100 bill. Next thing I know, she walks away, comes back with another woman, and they now want $320 for one night. This is a casino hotel. I told her I wasn't paying that much. She went on and on about the different fees, like $40 for parking. I sat in the lobby and booked another room elsewhere for $130 total. Yeah, I won't be visiting Golden Nugget tonight.

One of the worst experiences I’ve had in Tahoe. Could not reach guest services, room service, or bell hop service from the room. The phone was essentially useless. Ice bin is provided but could not find ice anywhere on the floor. There was also a fraternity event going on in the hotel and there was nonstop noise all night. Front desk was nice and understanding when we talked to them which was good. But unfortunately there really wasn’t anything that could be done about the noise throughout the night and constant door banging.

Was not able to get a hold of any staff. We used the phone from the room to try and call someone, and the operator would say it couldn't connect the call. Used our cell phones, same message. Very sketchy. No ice available, soda vending machine charged my card $10 instead of the $4.10 it displayed. The drinks came out room temperature. Beds were uncomfortable. Terrible experience. Would not stay here again, not even for the "low" prices.

Did not realize it was somewhat run down. Mattress were extremely soft to the point that you sunk in them. AC quit working or may have programmed to heat at night, luckily I was able to open window at night.

The air conditioning did not work. We were hot all night. The AC unit was blowing hot air. The receptionist where we check in said they were currently working on getting this fixed so all she could do is giving me her manager’s business card so we can reach out to her. It was suppose to be a night to relax but instead we didn’t get any sleep because the room was 80 degrees it was so hot we couldn’t catch our sleep. Really bad experience for the price of each room.

So my roommates and I had booked a room for our stay at Golden Nugget. We reached the hotel at 3am and they did not allow us to stay as they said that the room has been forfeited. The person behind the counter was very rude and called the security for no reason. They kicked us out of the hotel and we had no where to stay. It was really a bad experience, I do not recommend anyone to stay in this hotel. I am really disappointed.

Overall good experience. Gambling is not very good. Needs to be remodeled (in the process as of 05/2024) Smoking is allowed in the building which makes the experience less fun. Staff is nice but not overly friendly.

There was no heat or hot water! Desk asked if I let the water run for 15 min to get hot water!!! Seriously!!?? They gave me another room. Then they charge $20 per day for parking!!! I’m staying there, eating there, gambling there, and they charge to park my car!!! Insane! Terrible experience!!!

1. Towels and parking and breakfast are not included in the room price. Even the most modest hotels provide free breakfast, but not yours. 2. The flooring in the room stinks of urine. We ventilated the room and then couldn’t warm it up. Over the course of the entire evening, the heater was only able to heat the room to 65 degrees. I had to sleep in socks. 3. The water in the shower is cold, then barely warm. We let the water run for an hour, but the warm water never came out. For 3 days we were not able to take a shower. 4. The snow between the hotel and the parking lot has not been removed. Arriving people are forced to get out of the car directly into a puddle of water and snow.

Room could not produce heat for we older folks. Addition of a large number of young adults and associated noise. Room keys would not work and couldn't be fixed after two trips up to the assigned floor = room moved.

Our room neighbors were very noisy so I called the front desk to request a move. LeeAnn, Valerie and Ann were fantastic. They moved us to a nice room without hesitation and we were able to enjoy our 37th wedding anniversary in peace.
