"Easy check in with large spacious car park at rear. Very comfy bed and good quality linen. Only 1 chair in room when there was room for a 2nd - I hate having to sit on a bed in a hotel room. Nice clean bathroom, with big fluffy towels. Luggage rack and large wardrobe space. Iron and ironing board, plus hairdryer. No usb sockets, but plenty of 3-pin sockets. Our room was in the basement but was very quiet, and we slept well. Little box of treats in room and a kettle with tea, coffee and shortbread! Shower was better than it looked and lots of hot water. Breakfast excellent with cooked options included in standard rate such as bacon and sausage sandwiches, with additional options for a small supplement, including veggie Scottish breakfast, which was delicious, although the tomato chutney had a kick! Bar area was really nice and we relaxed with a drink before going to bed."

"Open parking area in front of the hotel. Compact bathroom in room 38 and guests in adjoining rooms are easily heard. Meals are good but you dont need to order pack lunches from the hotel as there is a coop 5 minute walk around the corner."
