"The Balsam is located in a scenic spot in the southern Adirondacks where, due to the remoteness and the topography, there is no cell service but there is WiFi at the lodge. "Staff was attentive. Had a clogged toilet upon arrival, staff fixed it immediately. A bit dated, staff kept garbage dumped, sheets and towels fresh as we stayed five nights. If you’re looking for a basic, no frills place to stay, this would suffice."
