"The Palmer Collective is centrally located in Townsville. It has its own bar and restaurant and this is the highlight of the property. The rooms are quite small, and unless I am mistaken servicing is only changing any towels and making the bed. If it is supposed to include light cleaning of the shower, toilet and basin then this is not done at all. We stayed her on two occasions and the biggest problem we had was the cleanliness of the service, when done. Nor is there any information available...

"The rooms were very basic, the door was super thin and I could hear everyone walking past, to the elevator all night. The doors weren’t lockable to ensure a safe environment. The lighting in the room was bad, no bedside lamps or lighting to allow relaxation. Only master ceiling lights that were positioned in odd places around the room. The bed sheets were dirty, with marks on top of the bed when I checked in. It was late at night when I arrived so chose not to raise it with staff due to...

"The room was satisfactory but if I had one issue, it was the lack of a overhead fan for the bathroom. Plus the grouting in the bath area needed fixing. The location was excellent with the Seaview Hotel meals, just down the road, outstanding and good value. The other excellent factor was the availability of car parks on-site with access controlled via a security gate. All the staff, from the front desk to the cleaners and handy men, were all exceptionally friendly and helpful."
