"Hotel Vellir was a great place for our trip to Iceland. Rooms were very clean and staff were super helpful and friendly! When informed we would be leaving early in the morning, staff offered to make us "to-go" breakfast bags in case we didn't have time to sit down. Location is especially good if you have a rental and plan on exploring the southern coast and city. They helped make our trip amazing and I highly recommend them!"

"This was a fun little hotel. The atmosphere was unique and fun. The staff were super friendly and helpful. The location was great, easy to get to everything by car. We ate at the hotel restaurant a couple times, both time the food was good and the service was excellent. The breakfast was self serve with a nice variety of food. We would stay here again."

"The customer service of this place is next to none. They provided a code that doesn’t work for one of the doors we had to go through and no one cared to fix it. We were lucky that someone else with a valid code opened the door for us. I reported the problem right away and no one came to fix the issue at all. The contact property messages were a joke since it solved nothing. We were forced to stay in the room the whole time of our stay fearing we won’t be lucky enough the second time we got stuck...

"My favorite place that we stayed. Loved loved! It was clean, amenities including the hot tub were great, had a small fridge. The location was about 20 mins from the main attractions but the views were worth it. It’s more so on the end near the peninsula but loved loved it. Very clean. It did not have a reception but check in was very easy."

"Don’t stay at this hotel! My husband and I have bed bugs all over us, when we told the staff they said it was bugs from travelling. Funny enough we didn’t have any bites until the hotel! Breakfast food is trash, absolutely horrible! It is a 2 hours walk from Reykjavik! If you can stay somewhere different do yourself a favor and choose a different hotel!"

"Great location!! It’s about 5minute walk from the main shopping area (Laugavegur). There’s no staff on site for check in but a clear detailed instruction was provided. It was easy, The common areas such as the lobby and kitchen were minimalist and modern design. No airconditioning as it’s common in Europe. Opening the window was adequate and made the room cool and comfortable. The private bathroom has a stand in shower similar to the cruise ships.The PAVI Guesthouse is a good place to stay in...

"We found the apartment’s lighting was too dark because of dark color of walls and not enough of lighting fixtures. Besides the fixtures are spot lights type so that certain areas were not covered. No headboard lights. The room is quite decent and very clean. Ample space for two people. Location is quite good, closes to the freeway leading to downtown Reykjavik."

"I would have given a full five star because the building is beautiful. Rooms are beautiful. The staff is kind and helpful. Amenities are great! however, the shower drain really gave off a bad smell and the vent in the bathroom isn’t strong enough to remove the drain smell and it creeps out into the room so that was very unfortunate because everything else was fantastic. "I would not recommend staying here. It is not conveniently located, not close to anything that you might be interested in. Very basic amenities. New modern very basic room. Breakfast was pretty good. I found it very expensive for what they provided. I stayed in two other hotels in Reykjavik and they were considerably better value for the money."
