"We loved our stay at Alila Diwa and would absolutely recommend it. We stayed outside of peak season which meant we were able to upgrade to Diwa club for a really reasonable price and I'd recommend doing the same, if you're able to; the rooms are spacious and bathrooms actually feel separate to the main bedroom/living area, plus you get access to the sundowners at Bistro. Our stay at Alila Diwa rounded off a 3 week trip around India and so we were ready for some sun lounger time, early nights...

"The staff were more than helpful, the pool area was ok, the breakfast was the same everyday and at best average. The rooms were terrible, old with many defects, we had to move rooms, but the supposed upgrade was poor. This hotel is most definitely not 4 star, possibly 2 star or 3 at a push, but that would be for the helpful staff. "The suite was clean, spacious and equipped with the absolute basics in terms of kitchen bits and bobs. Amazingly there was a top loader washing machine! You could always ask for other items, staff and manager were especially helpful. Useful contacts were all displayed at the reception, taxi, breakfast lunch and dinner available to order. The beech is approx 1 mile and walked to it most days. Good selection of restaurants on the beechfront and along the way, plus shops, wine/beer and pharmacies....
