We were given a room on the bottom floor, which I requested via email, and to which I never got a reply. They ‘upgraded’ us to a 3 bedroom apartment. I went to reception and asked for a room higher up, as the only reason I wanted ground floor was to access the pool, which you can’t. She wanted to charge me $600 more (I had paid $2350), for what, I am unsure.
The room had many dents in the walls, plaster was missing in some spots. There were marks all over all the walls, including what looked like make up, dirt, scratches etc.
the shower curtain had mould all over it which wasn’t pleasant.
There was not much crockery and cutlery and these were dirty. There was a glass in the cupboard which was completely dirty with grease all over it.
I’m not fussy, as a hotel is for sleep and showering, but it needs to be clean.
The pool was lovely and the restaurant was delicious with lovely staff. Front desk staff weren’t that friendly or approachable.
