"While we didn't think this would be like a room at the Holiday Inn, we weren't prepared for the cute little room we got. The rooms are what used to be a RR station and have been upfitted with enough modern conveniences that you won't be disappointed - surprised, but not disappointed. Our room (and I assume the others are like this) was filled with gadgets, devices, and appliances that were vintage for the time the RR was operating and stopped there (think early 1900's). "The property was old and definitely in need of repair. Towels provided were gray and rough on the skin. Bed was comfortable and television worked well. The price was right for shag one receives."

"A very nice gentleman checked us in to our a-frame. Simple inside. Not enough chairs for a family of six. Comfy beds. Rickety staircase to second floor. Mugs, dishes and plates in kitchen but no utensils, soap for washing up or pots or pans so don’t try to cook. It was okay but not sure it was worth the $400 for less than 24 hours. "

"Best things first: the young woman who checked us in was friendly and check in was simple. The beds appeared to have clean, brand new comforters on them. The beds were decently comfortable. The sink, toilet and shower were clean. Now, the ick. There were food smears in the fridge. The shower curtain rod was so degraded from the wall that it tilted down at an angle, making it impossible to keep the curtain more than halfway closed. "Clean. Beds were comfortable. Staff were friendly. Breakfast was adequate - not impressive. The main office is not joined to the rooms - separate building. The treadmill did not work and had no sign on it indicating it did not work. When I asked the woman at the front desk, she was aware it did not work. Disappointing as I was looking forward to using the treadmill. Would we stay here again? Yes."

"Great rooms in nicely maintained older building. Had biscuits and gravy for breakfast which were home made and delicious. It's always nice to take a step away from the corporate chains and find a hidden gem like this. Definitely would recommend."
