"If you want to unplug a bit and get away this is the place. Very clean cabins. Kitchen had everything you need. Nice sitting area outside with a grill. Very quiet and relaxing with the Yuba River right there. Staff were extremely nice. Our dogs our now depressed we came home. Pretty sure they thought it was our new home. "

"This is a recently renovated Gold Rush era hotel, very quaint and authentic. The rooms and bathrooms have been updated to modern standards which is nice, but have authentic period decor/antiques. The town is VERY small and cute, extremely quiet (in general) and a walkable historic self-guided tour. It makes a great base of operations for exploring the area.
A couple of things to know: it is 3 story, but because of the age, there is no elevator (typical with Gold Rush era hotels). They have one...
"Fun, nicely designed, comfortable place to stay. We loved the combination of these modernist homes, the RV park and trailer homes all in one place. We enjoyed the nearby restaurants and walking on the bike paths to downtown Truckee. These are a bit on the expensive side, but worth a few days. The landscaping they are working on is going to be nice when it fills out. We would stay here again. "
"Clean well appointed rooms. Comfy bed. Solid AC and room was already at 67 when I arrived. Little patio with morning sun. Tea bag style coffee was different. Little hot tub (fits 4 tops). Didn't try the suana - not my thing. "

"We booked the top floor because it has that attic, Harry Potter feeling.
OMG! It is the best hotel we have ever stayed in. The room is so beautiful. We felt like we were living in Harry Potter's house, minus where Harry really lived in.
Our only wish is that we can live in a place like this permanently.
