Resting on top of Mount Tauro, Taormina is a natural platform overlooking the Ionian Sea. We loved visting the Greco-Roman theatre, perusing the shops, and having the best seafood in Sicily.

Taormina is a very beautiful but touristy village. Be ready to go up and down steps and steep inclines. Take the time to stroll around and take it all in. It was worth the trip!

Taormina is a very popular and cute town with historical sites(teatro greco), beautiful beaches(IsolaBella) shopping and dining experiences.It's located on a hilltop so not easy to drive around with car,make sure your hotel has parking and valet.

It is a beautiful town and the Greek Theater is amazing. Being February, I did not luck out with the weather; it was cloudy and rainy so Mount Etna could not be seen from either the theater or the town. The town can also be a tourist trap.

Taormina has some great restaurants and bars, but make sure to go slightly off the beaten track as there are a few tourist traps. Some good shops but also some repetition of tourist type shops. Make sure to visit the ancient theatre!

Taormina is just a short drive away up the mountain. Fantastic old city with lots of shopping and dining. I would stay a night in Taormina and a night on the beach if you have time.

The Greek/Roman Amphitheater is well worth 12 euros the walk up to the church by the castle is about a 45 minute hike. check to see if catle is open if thats your final destination you cvan drive but nop parking theres a bus, but only every 3 hours.
