Wonderful

What a lovely stay! We stayed 5 nights and the location was fantastic, just a short walk to the town. The swimming pool was lovely too for a swim at any time.

Great spot to visit Taormina

Room was clean and perfectly as described. Pool was also a great feature. Good location, bit of a climb into town but not too bad once you know what to expect. Communication from the property was clear and prompt. We were delayed and had to check in after hours, and were given very clear instructions to assist. Can't fault the service at all.

Warm welcome and early check in were much appreciated. Great location close to old town and funicular. We paid for a larger apartment which was spacious and has enough to self cater if you want to. I would not have wanted 4 people in the space though. Property grounds looking a little tired and external lighting poor. Pool was warm and view over sea better than the view of the bus garage next door!

Thank you for an amazing stay, we visited for our anniversary and were not disappointed! The first thing was the room was big and spacious, the terrace/ balcony was big, with a hot tub and great views of the sea, and mountains around. It was only around a 5-10 minute walk from Taormina, and 5 mins walk from the cable car which takes you down to the beach. Esther was very friendly and helpful. Thanks again!!!

Good location. Walkable to city sites. Initial impression was awful. We arrived 4:30 pm. Gate was locked, office closed. Whatsapp had malfunctioned so we did not get instructions how to access property after hours. Grumpy old men finally came to gate, yelling at us and refused to open gate. Finally, another not-too-friendly couple yelled at us more but finally found our keys and let us in. Odd that office closes at 4 pm. Instructions finally arrived on Whatsapp the next day. Property itself was fine with nice pool and beautiful view, and office manager next day was friendly. But initial impression of screaming old man was frightening to this 68-year-old traveler

Highly recommend resort

This resort has everything you’d want for a relaxing, welcoming, clean apartment stay in Taormina. Only 10 minutes walk to the town center and with stunning panoramic views and the the pool area set within lime trees providing relief from the sun I highly recommend. Special mention for Ester the manager who is an asset to the property with tips information and always available to assist with any needs and advice.

We would definitely recommend

We had a perfect stay at Medea Residence! We really enjoyed having an entire apartment with a fully equipped kitchen. And an extra plus: The pool is heated so even though the weather wasn’t the best, we could still enjoy some pool time. The residence is approximately 10 minutes from the city of Taormina by foot (uphill, so the walk is a little hard). The owners were extraordinarily friendly and welcoming. We could not have asked for more!

The property was not as the pictures, our room was tired and smelled of cigarettes. The surroundings of the property were not well maintained and had boxes of rubbish. The host was nice and helpful though and it was a decent stay but could do with some love.

We found that the apartment did not live up to the excellent photographs and reviews it got on the website. Our apartment was dull and in need of refurbishment. Having said that Ester was great with communications and very helpful with our questions.

There are some great things about this property. The pool is fantastic. It is nicer than it looks in the photos and surrounded by comfortable lounge chairs, a nice wooden deck, fruit trees and an amazing view of the sea. Given how hot it was, we were so happy to have this to come back to after walking around or even from the beach. We stayed in one of the apartments, right next to the pool. The rooms are very spacious, the AC and shower are great, and they are very clean. If they invested in some new furniture and fixtures, it could be really special. As is, they are somewhat dated, random and just not very nice. Esther is great with communication in advance of check in and while there. But be aware she is not there on Sundays and we were not able to get in touch with her at all that day, although it’s possible this is an exception. She really was great otherwise. The worst part is the walk to town. It’s only 10 min, but uphill, in the heat, along the main road. There are bits of sidewalk, but most of it you are just sticking to the side of the road hoping the cars watch out. If the weather was cool, we might not have minded this walk, but by the 2nd day, it had already become somewhat wearing for every meal or activity (there is nothing at all right by or in the hotel). We didn’t like Taormina very much (too touristy and hoity-toity) but had a fairly nice stay here.

Godt sted

Dejlig stort værelse med køkken, stor terrasse og privat parkering. Ligger meget centralt i Taormina, men kort afstand til alt. Vi kunne helt sikkert godt bo der igen.

Jeg anbefaler ikke Taormina som reisemål, men om du skal innom her på rundreise på Sicilia, er Medea residence et perfekt sted å bo. Flott basseng omringet av frukttrær. Stille og rolige omgivelser både dag og natt. Rent og pent.

Está bien ubicado a 10 min andando del centro de Taormina. Hay un descampado de autobuses en reparación que fastidian la belleza del lugar. El conserje es un buen hombre, aunque muy dejado, despistado. Enseña el barrigón, fuma, tiene aspecto sucio. El apartamento está bien, había un jacuzzi afuera de la habitación que no pudimos usar.
