"Calico Jacks is a bit outside San Ignacio so you definitely need a vehicle but the room was really cleaned and comfortable. I stayed for only one night so I haven’t used the pool or tried the zipline but the food at the restaurant onsite and the staff were amazing. Julio was my server and my guide the morning after to visit Barton Creek’s caves and he made sure I had a wonderful time."

"Fully stocked kitchen, they thought of all the little things. Host was friendly and showed us where everything was. There are only a few cabins/lodges on the property so it's quiet and peaceful. The pool is small but perfect for cooling off and getting some sun. We even made use of the full-size BBQ by the pool one night. "It’s a great property, and the staff were incredibly welcoming. The layout is expansive and peaceful, with multiple pools and a serene jungle atmosphere. That said, you’ll definitely want to rent a car if you plan to explore, grab food, or go on excursions—transportation to and from the resort ran nearly $200 each way for us. Unfortunately, we weren’t able to secure a rental. Overall, if you’re looking for something affordable with an authentic jungle getaway vibe, this is a solid option."

"I’m glad I chose my stay outside of the center of town. If you have a car and are debating where to stay I would chose this place because it’s so serene. There are 3 small houses on the property and they are all surrounded by trees. The hammocks in the porch were ideal. The breakfast was so good and the eggs I had there were the brightest ( real) eggs I’ve had. You’ll see hummingbirds right outside the restaurant.
