Stonefield Castle is a magical place. We had a room with a view of the Loch which was spectacular. The restaurant where breakfast is served has views over the Loch, the gardens, and the woods. All of the staff were very helpful and friendly. The gardens and the shore are so beautiful.

This was the first stop on our Scotland trip and we were blown away! Amazing staff, beautiful clean rooms, amazing food and drink. I think what we liked best was the family feeling. Guests leaned in and talked to each other both on the patio and in the lounge. We felt more like house guest than hotel guests. Having dogs around seemed to be a nice ice breaker. We have recommended this gem of a place to everyone we meet. Go, stay, you will probably want to return!

Absolutely lovely place to stay, being over 100 years old the property does show its age but that all part its charm. The location and views made the stay even better. The staff was excellent as was the food. Highly recommended and we look forward to returning.

Late May, fine weather and a very busy hotel. The staff were very welcoming and went out of their way to help everyone. The setting, trees, shrubs and walks were spectacular and the food and drink first class. A long way from our West Sussex home but worth it.

Travelling with 84 year old mother with poor mobility. Room and bathroom were easily accessible for all her needs and clean and tidy. Restaurant, bar, library and drawing room were all on the same level so she enjoyed being able to use all the areas. Where there was a small number of steps, front entrance etc. Ramps were in place. Views from the public rooms were excellent as was the loch view from the bedroom. All the surrounding grounds were well kept. Breakfast, dinner and afternoon tea were well presented and tasty. Bar staff were very attentive and knowledgeable and made a great Manhattan ! All the staff, could not do enough to help and frequently checked in with us. My Mum had not been on a trip for a while but really enjoyed her stay and felt like a Queen. Very convenient for Tarbert and surrounding areas. Would suit all ages, active to less active. Would definitely go back.

Such a fantastic stay and sad to be leaving! A beautiful hotel, set in lovely surroundings. The staff were fantastic very helpful from reception to bar to restaurant. Room was beautiful clean and hotel throughout. Looking forward to staying again

Beaitiful castle in a stunning setting. The rhododendrons were all in bloom and there are magical walks along the paths through the grounds to the nearby island. Dinner and breakfast were delicious with fresh local produce. Staff were all lovely to us and we had a really special weekend.
