A wonderful stay
This tiny Inn is definitely worth a visit! The new owners were very friendly and welcoming and the room was comfortable and very clean. Breakfast felt rushed (all items brought to the table at the same time). Staff were pleasant. Furniture and decor in the room looking a little tired. Beautiful surrounding area. Castle and grounds are lovely, quiet and relaxing.

The hotel is in a lovely position at the side of a river and is handy for visiting Hadrian's Wall and the nearby towns of Hexham and Corbridge. The staff are all friendly and helpful. The food is excellent and not to be missed, especially the evening meals.
