Closest motel to Timber trail

We were looking for an accommodation close to Ongarue to go biking the Timber trail. Mahoe motel showed up in the results as the closest available option. It was ok for one night. It was reasonable priced. However the room definitely needs an upgrade, the glasses in the room were dirty and lots of noise from the road.

Nice stay

All in all a good stay nice enough rooms nice food at the restaurant and friendly easy going hosts. Only down fall was it says on hotels.com that there is satellite channels but there is just the basic channels

Good accomodation for the price

We had a good nights stay in a clean and comfortable room. The noice from passing traffic did not bother us much. The restaurant next door was temporarilly closed so we had to go 8km for dinner and breakfast.

Convenient stay for a local golf tournament and clean rooms but could hear and feel traffic go past during the night

Close to fishing

We were on a fishing trip. It was a great location. The staff were fantastic and the owner went out of her way to make sure we had a good stay. Room was comfortable and clean. Highly recommended as a stopover or weekend fishing and other activities round the area.

I have a wonderful stay here. Amenities are excellent, staff friendly not far to National Park or Forgotten Highway. Would recommend and stay again

Great value

Just out of town but on the main road. I thought main road noise and trains may have been an issue but not at all. I ate at the restaurant and the meal was lovely. All in all this place offers great value.
